The back story
About Getting to and around Phnom Penh: the new airport, the railway and the river
Phnom Penh is a city of the road and the river. Since 9 September 2025, airline flights use Techo International Airport, south of the city. Royal Railway runs daily trains from the Central Railway Station in Sras Chork: a northern line and a southern line. Coach companies such as Giant Ibis run to Siem Reap, Battambang, Kampot, Kep, Sihanoukville and Ho Chi Minh City. In town, tuk-tuks and ride-hailing apps do the rest.
