About Sisowath Quay: the river front

Sisowath Quay is the city’s front: a long promenade on the Tonle Sap facing the Chaktomuk, where the Mekong and the Bassac meet. The Royal Palace and its lawns are at the southern end, Wat Ounalom in the middle, and the Chaktomuk Conference Hall just south of the palace.

Walk it at the end of the day, from Wat Ounalom south to the palace and the Chaktomuk Conference Hall.

Come at sunset, when the heat goes out of the day and the promenade fills.

Our advice: Bodia Spa’s riverside branch is a few steps away for a massage after the walk.

Why it's on our list

  • Sunset on the promenade
