About The Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum

The Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum stands in a former high school that the Khmer Rouge regime used as the S-21 prison between 1975 and 1979; it documents the people who were held there and remembers them. The museum is open daily, including public holidays, from 8am to 5pm. Tickets are sold only at the entrance, in cash (riel or US dollars), and an audio guide is available. Arms and legs must be covered; phones may not be used inside the exhibition buildings, and food, drink and smoking are not allowed on the grounds (tuolsleng.gov.kh).
